Umami fills the intensely savory things that make you go ‘mmmmm’ and this platter is full of ‘mmmmm’. There is no cooking involved, just let these umami-packed ingredients sing for themselves. It is such good fun to mindfully experience the super savory deliciousness of umami in this way, kids love it too!
Serves 4-6
INGREDIENTS
1 tube of Taste #5 Umami Bomb
12 sundried tomatoes
12 small bite size chunks of Parmigiano Reggiano
4 tablespoons marinated green olives
4 tablespoons marinated black olives
1 jar of mushrooms in oil
1 jar of artichoke pieces in oil
12 slices of Prosciutto di Parma
8 salted anchovies
Truffle oil
FOR SERVING
Extra virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Mixed Italian breads & bread sticks
Method
- Squeeze out about a tablespoon of Umami Bomb and place the rest of the tube on the tray.
- Drizzle the anchovies with the truffle oil.
- Arrange all the other platter ingredients neatly on a large board or serving platter. Be careful not to overfill the board/platter as it will begin to look messy.
- Give each person a ramekin with a drizzle of olive oil and a splash of balsamic vinegar and let everybody dig in!
